We did, so we started asking. We found that when you ask a guy this question, you may be surprised what kind of answer you get.
We found that many guys of various ages:
It clicked for Zach when he was waiting to board his flight home (like he had done almost every week for the last six years), and saw several guys around him holding their phones in the air and talking. He wondered what was going on, then realized what time it was. It was bed time. These were video calls home to say good night to the kids. He knew it because he lived it. His son was two at the time.
That's when he started to build a plan to help new dads that lived more on the road than at home. BizTravDad was born (almost). He chickened out. He didn't think that others would want the help, so he didn't do anything about it.
Four years later, he wishes he had. After many conversations and stories, he found that it may have helped some families. Helping even one would have been enough.
Now as a husband of 11 years and dad to three kiddos, he has embraced his passion to join along side other men and offer to help them be the best leaders and dads they can be. In today's world, guys are at a shortage of comradery and lack in having a band of brothers. Pair this with the marketed concept of "toxic masculinity" and it leaves a potentially bad concoction for the future of leadership.
Utilizing his business, leadership, and coaching background, he is in pursuit of doing his part to help make a positive impact by helping dads in all seasons to connect and learn the things that they can engage to positively equip the next generation for success. To build and maintain the current and future bench of impactful leaders. And search for other men looking to do the same. One at a time.
He invites you to be the next one.
